A fast-paced, cleverly-edited portrait of participatory journalist George Plimpton, a witty, fearless man who truly lived life as an adventure. Directors Luke Poling and Tom Bean will be in attendance.
The documentary film tells the story of George Plimpton, an extraordinary man who hung out with U.S. Presidents, played quarterback for the Detroit Lions, photographed Playboy models, played goalie for the Boston Bruins, struck the triangle for the New York Philharmonic, and acted alongside John Wayne, Warren Beatty, and Matt Damon. And of course, Plimpton cofounded the literary magazine The Paris Review, which launched the careers of writers including Philip Roth, Terry Southern, and Jay McInerney.
