***As of September 12, we have reached our capacity for submissions sent via Submittable. Thank you for your understanding.***
The Paris Review will accept unsolicited submissions of prose and poetry via Submittable from September 1, 2022, until we reach capacity.
All submissions must be in English and previously unpublished. Translations are welcome and should be accompanied by a copy of the original. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, as long as we are notified immediately if the manuscript is accepted for publication elsewhere. Please submit no more than one prose piece or six poems at a time and please do not submit more than twice in a calendar year.
We suggest to all who plan to submit that they read the most recent issues of The Paris Review to acquaint themselves with material the magazine has published. Subscriptions are available here.
We strongly encourage you to use Submittable, but we will also be accepting hard-copy submissions during the month of September. Submissions postmarked after September 30, 2022, will not be processed. Please send any hard-copy submissions to “Prose Editor” or “Poetry Editor” at the following address, including a brief cover letter and a self-addressed and stamped envelope (SASE):
[Prose Editor / Poetry Editor]

If you have not received a response to a hard-copy submission sent by mail before September 2021, you should consider your submission kindly rejected. This does not apply to submissions received via Submittable. We thank you for your patience and for sharing your work with the Review.
